Hi Dan-lags, watching the video I learnt that the Tibetan law material must be very difficult. All three speakers spoke about their approach to the material and their struggle with Tibetan texts. I did not learn anything about Tibetan law! So, I guess, I have to read the texts myself. Cheers!

I will try to find something more basic to suit your level of understanding. ;§> Meanwhile, I've been wondering if the standard Magadha drona (Tib. bre) was also a volume measurement that wasy made with the use of such a box as the one you have here. This was the measurement standard used when the relics of the Tathagata were divided up (by a person named Drona!) before going into the first Buddhist stupas. And I was thinking it's curious, too, that the bre also forms part of the stupa. It's the square box-shaped part just above the dome part. This is starting to make some sense for me that it never had before (which is nothing all that new or earthshaking, I know, I know, I hear you).
Oh, I shouldn't have said "first Buddhist stupas" since there were stupas of the previous Buddhas from many eons before our present degenerate times. Sorry, my slip up.
